Does Your Bible Match Your Feet?
We love the pictures of Bibles that look worn out and tattered because it’s a good indicator that it’s being used quite frequently. A lot of us are very proud of how used our Bible’s look, myself included or else I wouldn’t have made this post. However immediately after thinking, “wow my bible looks pretty used” and also pondering all the things I want to do for the Lord, Father hit me with something, “Your Bible doesn’t match your feet.”
OUCH!
You’re so right Father, they don’t indeed.
I read a lot and I want to do a lot but every believer has to hit a point in their walk where your capacity to only read and only pray and only want to do builds and builds and builds until only reading and only praying and only “wanting to do” can no longer be contained in your being and is literally forced and pushed past the point of spiritual to natural.
A spiritual idea needs to become a natural [physical] act. Could you imagine if Christ said,”I’ll just think super dee duper spiritual thoughts about going to The Cross but I won’t actually go…”
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. - James 2:18
