aliciaantionette-deactivated201 asked: Hi Shae! I have a question? It's kinda personal but I feel like a lot of people will relate. My question is how do you fully forgive yourself from your past ways. The closer I get in my relationship with Christ, I feel like I'm always punishing myself for giving myself away at 19. I feel like I'm not worthy to even have a Godly man because of my past. So how did you cope with that? Thanks and God bless you, Shae! Merry Christmas

Wow this is a tad bit similiar to the answer I just answered - I only touched on it a little bit in that answer though.

It is really hard to forgive yourself for everything you’ve done. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t hard AND I would also be lying if I said that same guilty feeling didn’t creep in sometimes - today.

Whenever we deal with things like this we have to combat them with the word. Everything in our lives needs the word of God to be applied to it! When we don’t forgive ourselves for something God himself has already forgiven us for, it’s clearly the enemy trying to get us to focus on our past. However, God has forgiven us for our past, present, and FUTURE.

Therefore no one can hold anything we’ve done over our heads - not even us. PRAISE GOD!

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, - Romans 8:1

So what we have to do is treat the enemy the same way Christ treated him in the garden of Gesemethe . Everytime Satan came to the Lord with some NONSENSE, Christ didn’t respond any other way but with the word.

1.) Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, 2.) where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.

3.) The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

4.) Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone.’”

5.) The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6.) And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7.) So if you worship me, it will all be yours.”

8.) Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”

9.) The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10.) For it is written:

“‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;

11.) they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

12.) Jesus answered, “It says: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

13.) When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time. - Luke 4:1-13

This is how the word tells us to deal with these things and although it’s hard, we have to do it because if we don’t the enemy will constantly tear us down by taking advantage of our weaknesses when we’re at our weak points. However, the DEVIL IS A LIAR and the father of lies, when he speaks a lie he speaks of his own (John 8:44).

Does this make sense?

Let me know if you need to know anything else regarding this - if you need me to elaborate or if you need anything else.

God bless you love, I pray your Christmas was wonderful!!!

Love,

Shae
