I’ve made the mistake of forgetting that the Gospel of Christ is the center.

There was a moth flying around our house so i shouted “The power of Christ compels thee!” and hit the moth with my mom’s Bible and it disappeared - where did the power of Christ comPEL IT TO?!?!?!?!

Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

But we seldom see it in the mirror.

That’s because for most of us, areas of biblically unaligned and overzealous faith are unintentional. They’re the result of blind spots, not sin spots. We’re doing our best with the knowledge we have.

But it doesn’t matter whether someone is overzealous by choice or accident. Either way, it messes up everything. It hurts everyone, the overzealous and the victims of their zeal.”
